Enriching Lives

Windsor Care Center of Petaluma offers a variety of resident-directed activities. We offer group programs in the dining room, one-on-one activities in resident rooms as well as assistance with self-directed activities. We have an active Resident Council Meeting that takes place monthly and an informal Community Meeting that takes place weekly. In-Room supplies are available and include playing cards, reading materials, audio books, art supplies, cards and stationary, CD players, DVD’s, knitting and sewing supplies, and flower vases. We have a vast supply of Sensory Items such as varied textures, scents, and noise makers for those who enjoy utilizing their five senses and also offer a weekly Sensory Group. Live music is provided each Saturday morning and we encourage our residents to participate in art classes, culinary workshops, spiritual events and game activities.


We offer numerous activities that allow residents to associate with one another and resume many endeavors that they have previously enjoyed. Activities offered may include physical fitness, meditation, table games, trivia program and patio activities. Additionally, we offer:

  • Coffee talk, trivia, dominoes, etc.

  • We take two trips on Fridays. Our morning trip is usually to go shopping and our afternoon trip is to a local Sonoma County attraction.

Social Services

Often times, the transitional period into a skilled nursing facility can be challenging. Our social service team is here to assist families and residents during this time to make the transition as smooth as possible. We provide necessary information, manage requests and concerns and help in planning and discharge planning for each resident. Other services our social service team can help with are:
